Mark

Mark collects toy trains.  He has about a million gazillion of them in his basement.  He has a day job doing data entry, but sometimes he can't help but let his mind wander to his toy train collection.  He has trains in every color and in several different shades of each color as well.  He has big plans for his trains.  He wants to build toy tracks all over his house, into his backyard, across the neighborhood and past the drive-in window at the fast-food burger place.  Then, he will call ahead, put the proper change on the train and order fast food burgers without ever having to leave his house!

Mark is for sale here.  Tomorrow I am going to post 2 new additions to the family I have been making.

Do you remember that show Silver Spoons?  The in-house-train on that show was amazing.  I always dreamed of having my own someday.  I think if I listened to Nichol of a couple decades ago (yeesh) our place would look like something straight out of Pee Wee's Playhouse.  Back to trains, I really hope Amtrak never goes out of business.  Train travel is my preferred mode of transportation.    It really feels like you are going somewhere on a train, plus the people watching can't be beat.

Also on the subject of trains, Joseph and I got this new board game called "Ticket to Ride" which won some Gamers award in 2005.  I used to be a Scattegories and Cranium girl before I married Joseph, and now I am really into these strategic board games.  Settler's of Catan is my all time favorite.  They even have websites where you can play online, but I am not ready to commit that strongly to my nerdery quite yet, but maybe I'm close because it's pretty awesome.

Hi Nichol!
Oh! I love Mark! His mustache and ears are the perfect touch! I wish I could have them all!

My dad is a train nut. I think he's committed his retirement to recapturing his missed childhood. He has a train suspended from the ceiling in his home office, and another huge train table on the lanai.

If you like Settlers, try Carcassonne. It can be a bit confusing at first but then it becomes quite addictive. You can be as orderly and polite or vile and cutthroat as you like!

He is so cute! He kind of reminds me of a ringmaster from the circus - all he needs is a top hat =).

I love your troll too. Reminds me of the three billy goats gruff.

Kimberley =)
