Sketches

My friend north of my border, Darby the Fabulous, asked for some scans of images from my sketches as examples of "sketches turned fiber art" for a class she's teaching, which I am completely flattered about.  Some of the sketches have not birthed into pillow monsters, but maybe some day.  Also my sketchbooks aren't very organized, so you will see I scribble notes all over them and most of them don't make much sense weeks later.

The last one is from an older book.  I used to sketch from observation all the time, I loved it so much, and that obsession was replaced when I started sewing, but I'd like to get back to it. The left hand drawing is a collaboration between Joseph and I.  We would play this game called "Add On" which was this drawing game where one person would draw something and then pass it to the next and on and on and on.  They could get very weird.  This one we did while on the train to Chicago from Joliet (my home-town).

Thank-you so much Nichol. These are perfect. My class will really enjoy them. You are very lucky to have a creative partner to play drawing games with. Have a great weekend! And thanks again. I owe you a creative favour! Or favor down in your neck of the woods!
