A Bunch of Bear Girl Goin' On

My business-side is getting on quite nicely.  I feared that by working in mass-production my soul would shrivel up a little bit, but it's not like that at all.  Working systematically (by sewing a bunch of bear ears in a row and then sewing up all the buttons and yadda, yadda) actually has a nice rhythm to it.  Also, my least favorite sewing chore is changing the thread, and I don't have to do that nearly as often, so that part is especially nice.  I am building up my supply for this fair in O'Fallon which is near St. Louis and has the cutest graphics I have ever seen for a craft fair:

See?  I told you.  Isn't it nice?  So, I plan on mass producing my favorite designs for the next two months and also figuring out how to design a fun booth.  I have decided not to go back to school.  My heart just isn't in it, I would rather live on the out-skirts of society and make stuff in my little room and then travel around with my stuff and see if others will bring it into their homes.  I also fantasize about being a mom some day and taking my kids around the country in the summer time to different arts fair happenings and then exploring different cities with them.  I think it could be a nice life.  Sigh.

I'm glad to hear you're following your dreams, and I think you'll make a wonderful mom. The life of going to art fairs sounds like a wonderful adventure. :)

I totally agree with you about changing out the thread- something to be avoided at all costs! :)
I'm selfishly excited to hear that you'll be a full time Pillow Monster maker, it makes my day to see your new stuff. :D Plus, my pal Oscar is going to need a buddy soon...
