Juliet's father is a potter.  He makes bowls and mugs and cups and plates by using his hands and a machine that moves a ball of mud round and round.  Juliet has the very important job of rolling the clay into a ball before her father puts it on the spinning wheel and turns it into a dish.  Juliet takes her job very seriously, she makes very round balls and tries to make sure that the ball is a perfect sphere, like an orange.  When she does a good job, her father lets her put her thumb print into the bottom of the mug or bowl as a sort of signature.  The mug that her father drinks his coffee out of has her thumb print on the bottom of it.  She gets a peek at it every time he takes a sip.

Juliet is heading to California today!  She looks like a California girl.  And, Flannery and Benjamin will be going to Melissa.  Thank you soooooo much!  Melissa has a blog here.  If you love pugs or have a pug-loving friend then you can get all your gifts for that person here.
I had a friend who had a very, very old pug who could no longer see or hear but still had the ever-important sense of smell to know when you were getting a treat out of the box.  Joseph and I were talking about dogs the other day, and how it is a bit weird that they seem to instinctually know how to be cute for food.  Like over time they have developed new survival tactics that involve perking their ears up and making their eyes go big and lovey and then cocking their head to the side, just so, so that it makes you go, "Awwwww, sure you can have a piece of my pizza good boy!"

I love the way you're getting more and more (seems to me) adventurous with the patterns and fabrics as well as the shapes - the florals in Juliet are just LOVELY!
